is 105K really low miles? I know this Subaru, if well maintained will travel many 100k more miles.

The 5-speeds had some issues, mine had clutch problems but the auto-boxes I think were just fine. And they are very quick, super-comfy, all-around awesome cars.

This one appears to be an auto.

That's 15,000 miles a year which is right around average. At least the major work approaching 100k miles has been done already.

All the Subaru's I have seen go through a dark period around 130-135K miles where they need all kinds of front end, brake and engine sensor work, then are good for the long haul. Head gaskets/cam seals who knows, could start leaking tomorrow

Yeah no complaints about that. If you put the mileage that way it doesn't seem so bad.

If the maintenance is good as the ad says might be worth it.

So buy it ... drive it for 2 years and dump it before it gets expensive.

I completely agree.

100k is NOTHING for a Subaru. Just keep an eye on the head gaskets around 160k, keep up with your basic maintenance, and you'll be good to go. My legacy had 363k miles on it before the transmission finally bit it.

Awesome choice. Looking in to getting the exact same car for myself. Still trying to find a manual limited model in my area though... The 06's fixed a lot of the problems that the 05's had, turbo oil issues, etc. I think this would be a wise investment!

NP. I'd buy it for my wife, except her Subaru just won't quit.

You know, you don't have to wait until a car is dead to replace it.

No point in replacing a car that works. Also I don't have any money to buy a car.
But I've never replaced a car that wasn't dead or almost dead.

I agree....we are on our 4th Subaru wagon. My wife has been driving Subies for the last 25 years. Yes, they do go through a period around 130k where they can eat some money.
Our daughter is driving our old 2000 Outback, has 160k on it. It's been parked in hospital and college parking lots for the past 8 years so the outside is really rough, we went though the entire car and had the engine re-gasketed, water pump, timing belt, etc about 2 years ago. Cost us about 2 grand, but that's the only major expense the car has ever had.
